VISUAL REVIEW

Sometimes ignorance is bliss. You do not want to know what others are thinking, as made clear in Nancy Meyer’s 2000 romantic-comedy “What Women Want” starring Mel Gibson. But if we did know the thoughts of others, we would be more mindful of others, and seek a more equitable world. And that is the point of the film. A better way to bring about a more equitable world would be for each of us to simply “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
